                               RESOLUTION NO. 19476
                  
                  
                   A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A GRANT FROM THE
                   GOVERNOR'S HIGHWAY SAFETY PROGRAM FOR THE
                   PURPOSE OF FUNDING THE "SPEED REDUCTION
                   PROGRAM" AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
                   EXECUTE AGREEMENTS WITH THE HAMILTON COUNTY
                   SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, THE CITY OF EAST
                   RIDGE, THE CITY OF RED BANK AND THE CITY OF
                   SODDY-DAISY, RELATIVE TO THE REIMBURSEMENT
                   OF FUNDS FOR SAID "SPEED REDUCTION PROGRAM."
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       acceptance of a grant from the Governor's Highway Safety Program
       for the purpose of funding the "Speed Reduction Program;" and
       	    	 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor be and is hereby
       authorized to execute Agreements with the Hamilton County
       Sheriff's Department, the City of East Ridge, the City of Red 
Bank
       and the City of Soddy-Daisy, relative to the reimbursement of
       funds for said "Speed Reduction Program."
